Don’t really know how I went from “ew.. peanut butter..” to “I WANT ALL NUT BUTTERS IN MY BELLY!” Somehow, I’ve become obsessed with nut butters. And I’m loving it! Unfortunately, most store bought nut butters are full of unwanted sugars and ain’t nobody got time for that! I do, however, have time to make my own nut butters at home.
I’ve been experimenting with different homemade nut butters (peanut butter, almond butter and hazelnut butter). There’s a science to these nut butters, you can’t just say “I feel like making some hazelnut butter” and expect to know how to do it without looking it up.
I had to look up different recipes until I found the right ones. So, here are the best recipes I found!
You’ll be needing a food processor for all of these recipes. I bought mine for about 80 dollars and it was the best investment I’ve made. I’m sure the price in other countries must be cheaper than that though!
I usually use about 500g of (salted) peanuts with 3 tablespoons of honey (I use miel de palma AKA Palm Syrup). I skip the oil and the salt and IT’S SO DELICIOUS. Make sure to leave the food processor on long enough to create a creamy peanut butter.
